Diamond Back

And I'll make it a 3rd. Diamondback. If i spray around the edges with my power washer I can make it leak. Never had any leaks from weather though. I've got the ATV ramp rails around the side of mien that make it a little harder to get all the snow off in winter and still no issues. I like having real secure closure for the bed, and the ability to stand on top of it is rather handy as well. Another big plus, it's made in America and the company has great customer service.

My extang solid fold 2.0 didnt seem to leak at all on my 1500. It sat up on top of the bed and had no mounting hardware in the bed.

Mopar hard cover painted to match the truck. Very happy with it, no leaks...and it has rained a lot in this area this year.

I had a Bakflip G2 on my previous Ram for 5 years and was pleased with it. Nearly leak-free except a little wetness at each side of the tailgate after heavy rain. I think it actually came in by running down the channels of the Ramboxes and entered through the tailgate. You can see the seals of the cover lay perfectly flat. I'd consider that leak-free when it comes to bed covers. It was so little and never enough to pool, so I never worried about items left in it when it rained. I picked up a new 2019 Bighorn and just ordered the Bakflip Fibermax for it. I like the Bak tri-fold hard covers due to the snow we get, the flexibility of use they offer as well as a bit of security and longevity that comes with them. I best of all they are super low-profile. The picture below is the G2 on my previous truck.

Truxedo LoPro = very minor drips IF you cover the rear stake holes, and add a tailgate seal. With a few more tweaks, I can probably eliminate all drips.

Then you'll have done way better than I. Careful install and alignment, tailgate seal, sealed every other way water can enter/exit the bed and I was always finding it to be damp in front passenger corner and across almost entire tailgate. It was actually one of the worst offenders of the 3 I tried (also had a Weathertech and a Lund), before going to the shell.

Truly, I think that soft covers just flex and flap too much to seal perfectly all the time.

So, we have had a fair bit of discussions about bed covers that leak, including my own issues, so let’s go the other ways and share your bed covers that don’t leak.

This will be good info for new owners looking for info.

I had 3 different after market covers that ALL leaked. Finally after the 3rd one the owner of the actual company refunded my money, as it was leaking so bad. So....went to the Chrysler dealership where I bought my truck, I bought a Mopar, tri-folding hard cover......has been on my truck for 3 years now, (truck is a 2015, bought new)...even in high pressure vehicle washes, good luck getting even a teaspoon of water from there. Doesn't leak AT ALL. I put anything, and everything in the bed in ANY weather, with that cover I have, no worries. And the kicker??? It was $120 cheaper than the covers that leaked.

Undercover Ultra Flex here .

I was told to expect a splash near the tailgate and maybe a little in the front corners.

Here are pictures of my recent trip through the car wash. I got exactly what I was told to expect. I can live with that.

Diamondback covers are amazing. Very well made, doesn’t leak, and don’t have to worry about anything being stolen out of the bed!!
