Shifter/check engine/panel-help

Long story short-Got glue on my panel, tried to pop out the silver trim piece around the cd player and when I disconnected the shifter cable. The check engine light came on and a warning came up to "service shifter". I guess its a trip to the dealer now or can I fix this myself?

and does anyone know where I can order one of these? without going to my local dealer cause they suck.
