Ok so I swapped motors in my 99 ram went from 5.2 to 5.9, swapped harness and ecm, and I changed the governor solinoid in the tranny, motor is strong tranny ****f to 3rd but won't go into OD at 55 she is running 2500 rpms what did I miss the governor solinoid was for a 2000 Dodge with 5.9 did I miss something

You might try adjusting your bands, there an adjuster on the side and one in the tranny. This helps with the shifting. Also check your TV cable adjustment. If moved somehow it will cause wierd shifting. Get a repair manual it shows you how to adjust everything really clearly. Thats all i can think of. Also if the truck you pulled the bigger motor from, it might of had a bigger tranny(48re) instead of 318s typical 46re. If so try reflashing the computer and see if that helps.

The bands have nothing to do with the 3-4 shift, although its never a bad idea to check the 2nd gear band adjustment.

More then likely the pcm is missing a signal that allows for the 3-4(OD) shift. Its based on speed, TPS and possibly some other inputs from the engine.
