Should I trade my 2025 Ram 1500 problems before 1000 miles.

Hey Guys,
This is my first time posting on here. Owned Rams since 2013. I just recently bought a 2025 Ram 1500 Big Horn black edition in June. As of today, 9-17-25, I only have 1300 miles on it. About 300 of that is going back and forth to the dealership. At 644 miles I came out of Wally World with groceries and my truck would not read my key fobs. It was dead in the water. The dealership came and towed it back to their location which is a hour away. They flashed the system and it seems to be working fine at the moment. At 840 miles I got this message on the dash saying "Warning Light Unavailable Service Required". Also at this time my apple car play would start playing amazon music and would not change the song from the head unit or the steering wheel. So another trip to the dealer. I was told that if the message come up again to restart the truck 5 times and it should clear it and that an update was coming out for that this winter. They rest my head unit and apple car play started working again. Another 200 miles and the apple car play has the same problem. I reset the head unit myself and it worked.... well until the next morning. I was going to be close the dealership that day so i took it back in. The head salesman just hung his head. They took it back and it started working again.. for now. They told me that it was probably just an update that caused the problem. The truck rides and drives like a dream but I not happy with my purchase after paying so much and already having this many problems. Small as they may be, it should not happen to a brand new 60k vehicle.
My question is should I go ahead and bite the bullet and trade in for something else. At this point all that is on my mind is not if, but when something else is going to go wrong with my truck. I have been a die hard Ram fan all my life. But it really seems to me that they don't seem to hold up very well.

lemon law lawyer is free, if they take the case they win, talk to one. They take a portion of the winnings, but the winnings are usually greater then making you whole. I had a small case, won 13k lawyer got the 3 on that. Judges don't like manu's that cant fix their stuff, most cases settle.

You are reading the law wrong. It's all "or" and not "and".

3 attempts to repair *the same problem* triggers the law.

A "serious safety defect" once and it reoccurs (I'm not digging deep enough into definitions of your state to see what counts as a serious safety defect)

I am ready to get rid of mine for no other reason then the Electronics on this platform SUCK. I had a CEL bring it to the dealer they read the computer and surprise no code found, not stored not present. He reset it and said if it happened again bring it back. The USB hub sometimes works sometimes don't. I have never plugged anything into the USB hub. I can go on but, if I keep thinking about it, I will get pi--ed off enough to go trade it on anything but a POS Stellantis. I would even look at the Happy Mans Club before I buy another Stellantis. The engine and tranny are really pretty good, and the ride is good or a full size truck.

To be honest I really do not think it would qualify.

You pay lawyers only if you win and they do the thinking for you, and free to call them and free to take the case, and worst case it doesn't qualify "yet" but soon it will. If it keeps going it will qualify easy, if not, cool all is well and it is now fixed. You have 18 months from the day you bought it to qualify, and it sounds like a no brainier. Don't accept responsibility for their defects. Not only would that be dumb, it will eat at you for not standing up for yourself later on. So no don't trade it and do them a favor, hold them to account for their problem. When you qualify your options will be a FULL refund or a new vehicle, in this case I'm sure you would want refund. They will offer a settlement, up to you if you take that, in this case I wouldn't but listen to lawyer for advise on that.

I feel the same way you do. It is always on my mind what is going to go wrong next. I kinda feel like getting rid of it to have piece of mind. Even thought of downsizing to a Nissan Frontier because i know they are reliable, especially since they still have the regular V6 engine. I just worry about going from a full size back down to a mid size. I am a bigger guy. But piece of mind means alot. Just don't want to loose my ass on trade. I think I am going to look in on the lawyer stuff.

This happened to me with a Chevy Colorado (air bag defects over and over) and I just traded it in on the Ram I had before this one and I was finally happy.

IMO Nissan has always had the best small truck. Equal to Tacoma but is way more comfortable for us big guys, I cant even sit a Tacoma. Last gen frontier a please to work on eng/trans combo built to run forever. I havent looked into new ones but it looks good on paper. The eco boost has got better in the ranger, but I like the frontier, good plan. But get paid first!

I just picked up a 26 Tungsten. Got a few warning messages but turned on OTA updates. It'll go away.

Very minor annoyance for what is arguably the best truck on the market.

Change both batteries. You are experiencing what many have fixed with 2 new fresh batteries. Dealer has a bulletin on changing the battery. If truck sat a while before being sold, the batteries are bad.

So you need an entire computer engineering team just to trace back the root of the problem? How much time should the customer waste of his tracing the problem and how much time and money should stellantis waste tracing back the issue? Sorry, but MY time is more valuable than any vehicle. If they cant fix it the first 3 times, then what makes you think theyll fix it the next 3 times? Just because youre willing to sacrifice your time doesnt mean everyone else should.

For Apple Car Play, it is possible that the issue is settings in your phone. I am not as versed in Apple as I am in Android, but it took me awhile to figure out other problem that sounds similar to yours. I connected my Android into my truck system and it was all fine. Then I started driving a second vehicle to and from work and I paired my phone with that vehicle. Somewhere along the way it changed some settings and it would often, but not always, start playing my Sirius XM via my phone application through the system and the buttons on my steering wheel wouldn't change it. If I went into my radio settings and went to the Sirius XM application there and clicked on it, it would then be playing the Sirius XM via the truck application and everything works fine.

What I am suggesting is to try a different phone in your truck and see if you have the same problem. I would also forget your phone on the truck system and delete the connection to your truck on your phone. I am assuming you have Amazon music on your phone and somehow it is getting auto-connected to your truck.

Yeah. Unfortunately the OEM apparently didn't.

None of the "benefits" of the new system are things I value. If you're willing to deal with them, that's your call. I'll stick with my dumb ol' 2500 without stop/start, etorque, turbos, DI, software glitches, the ability to be bricked by a bad OTA update, self driving, driver monitoring, etc.

It could be an I-phone problem!
Before getting into your truck, close your music app and clear any music you’ve been listening to. An easy way to do this is to turn your I-phone off and then back on. Turn your Bluetooth off before starting your truck, then after it is running, turn the Bluetooth back on. If your i-phone came with a free Apple Music sample song, delete it! I hope this helps..
