On my truck, there is only a single exhaust, will that hinder the noise even if I go out and get like a Magnaflow 18"? Or will it still sound pretty good?

Edit: I drive a 2006 Ram 1500 SLT 4x4

I have actually found the single exhaust to be a little louder than those that have the single in/dual out mufflers. The 18" Magnaflow is my favorite all around muffler for sound and performance.

Thanks for the reply, and I really don't know anything about vehicles at all, I'm trying to get into it... So would you recommend the 18" Magna Flow? Is there anything else I should also look at?

We can hook you up with just about anything performance wise. Anything done to the truck currently or is it still 100% stock?

100% Stock excepts I have a black wesson brush guard, black running boards, and 15% window tint...

I'm looking to make it loud, more efficient, and faster/stronger would be icing on the cake.

I have to go to performance bc my parents won't let me lift it and I'm on a budget so tires and wheels are tough...

Single exhausts are also less restrictive than a dual but muffler wise a 18" Magnaflow or even an AeroTurbine 3030 would sound great (I had that on my old '07 with a single exhaust). Removing your resonators also give you better tone & volume.

It's always hard trying to choose an exhaust, your best friend would be YouTube at this point to determine what sound you want.

The first thing is a Superchips tuner that will allow you to tune your truck. Very user friendly and will get you a few more HP. The Motive 4.56 are new gears for the truck which will make it pull harder from a stop. The Superchips you can install, the gears are better left to a shop with experiance because it is very time consuming and requires being set corretly.

How much do you think an 18" Maganflow and a good Cool Air Intake would set me back?

Around $400 for the pair. If you wanna hold off on the intake and get the tuner first you will see better #'s for around the same price.
