Does anyone know of any aftermarket skid plates for 2019 big horn classic. I had ordered Mopar and the backorder for them is indefinite.

Nothing official yet but an Arizona outfitter has been measuring Rams for skid plates too, so it's possible there will be more than one source. The owner over there is a friend & has been asking me about Ram stuff but we don't live in the same part of the country so I don't talk with him frequently enough to know what his to do list actually looks like.

Yep i saw it in the conversations. Thanks a lot btw, i wish you the best. It's been long overdue since we needed skid plates for this platform :), and i know the guys with the 44-44 are really benefiting from your TC switch, more likely the 8 speed dudes and dudetes will enjoy those paddle shifters as well. Something really missing from these trucks with the darn rotary shifters.

If paddle shifting for the RFE is a possibility - and if it does actual paddle shifting (not just a duplication of ERS buttons) I'm on board. But there can't be very many 4th gens with 6 speeds right just the first couple years and then landscaper trucks through ~17 or so?

Working on the programming to make it actual paddle shifting. We will see if it can be made easy or just made for a few who are close enough to me to get modules Programmed and tunes installed. [emoji1744]

If you make a fuel tank skid I’ll buy it. I was going to eventually look at building a stainless fuel cell in the spare tire location and building integral skids for it. Are you making different skids for the 26 gallon vs the 32 gallon tanks? I’d like to upgrade to a 32 gallon tank in the future and would be cool if the skid would work for both. That would leave me room to build a water tank in the spare location.

Yeah I'll likely do both sizes.

I looked at doing some kind of DIY skid plate on my fuel tank shortly after I bought my Ram, but on the RCSB's the frame curves up to accommodate the rear axle so far forward that any kind of skid plate on that would be a real pain in the donger to mount. Might be a better idea to make a "ski" for the tank itself, and integrate that in the hanging straps.. well ultimately I don't tend to get the gas tank too close to danger anyway. Short wheelbase is easier to put where I want, on rough sections vs. a longer truck.
