I have an 81 with the computer on the air breather, I haven’t used my truck in a couple years so I wanna get back into it. I would like to ditch the computer and go back to a simpler hassle free ignition, what would be the best set up? What to do I have to order and the best place to order from?

Basic electronic ignition with a vac. advance distributor is simple enough.

between summit racing and Rock auto, I get most of my car projects done without a major issue.

X2 with Summit and Rock auto, also check the distributor drive gear, Its nylon and is known to sheer, Love the Slant six!!!!

I used a carb, distributer and ignition box from a 1973 tuck. The upgrade to a "super six" 2bbl carb is worth it if you can find a manifold reasonably. Either way might need to do some carb jetting. Rock auto or local auto parts store should be fine.
