Hola,

My truck is an '02 Ram 1500 with the 5.9 Magnum and automatic transmission. When I bought the truck two years ago I had to have the transmission rebuilt. I just found a leak last weekend. It doesn't appear to be bad but it is dripping on to the exhaust pipe that crosses over from the driver's side to the passenger side.

Can I drive it with a leak as long as I keep the fluid level up for a while or is this an emergency situation that needs to be rectified immediately? I haven't felt or observed any other issues with the transmission/shifting.

As long as the fluid level doesn't drop down too far you'll be fine, but leaks don't get better over time so at some point you should attempt to repair it.
