For me being able to get a Heads Up Display alone is worth waiting for the 2021s. Add in the availability of the Night Package on the Limiteds and I'm gonna be waiting.

Yea, the HUD is a big deal to me as well. I have had it on my last 2 cars and would really miss it.

I've had my 2019 Laramie 1500 (w/ ram boxes) for over a year now and love it. I came out of a 2016 MB E350 and the new ride is soooo much better...including my previous 2016 Escalade. The ram boxes are really the unique feature that drove me to the Ram after also considering the Denali and Ford 150. Would not own a Ram without them!

Not sure what to do here. I am coming off a lease on my '18 BMW 5 series in December, but since my dealer sells both BMW and Dodge, they are willing to let me out early without penalty as of mid-August.

They have a the exact truck I want (minus the Ram boxes - jury still out on that) and they are offering like 10k off sticker, plus sell at invoice. My dilemma is, I won't lease this one. I'll buy and keep for several years, so I don't want to jump on this and wish I would have waited for the '21, as they are upgrading the Uconnect to the version 5, which offers a lot more in terms of tech - namely, wireless Apple Play, among other niceties.

So, I realize this is my decision, but any feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Brad

I have a dealer in NW Iowa that offers 5% below invoice on orders with Tread Lightly membership or the like if that makes a difference. On my considered order (mostly loaded Limited w/Night Package) it worked out to be about 14% off MSRP. I've yet to place an order but know several people who have had a very good experience purchasing there. Only fee is the $75 fee for utilizing the Tread Lightly (plus the cost of Tread Lightly) from what I understand.

Here's the way I look at it. The next model year will always have something new. It's the same with any changing technology. I'd drive myself crazy every time I bought a new vehicle if I looked at the next model year and thought to myself...Damn, I wish I would have waited for next year. I would take advantage of the deal on the 2020 if it has everything you want, and you're happy not having the rambox option. I know you're on the fence about that. Personally, I won't buy another Ram truck without it, unless they end up discontinuing them for some reason.

1/2 ton can be ordered now, but 3/4 ton and above, I think at the end of the year, November, or so, is what I have found

I would guess early to mid to late October since builds start August 31st?
That's what my dealer said as well. As long as this frickin' virus thing doesn't shut everything down again.

If they can get me the deal that I want, I will likely jump on this 20. As you said, it has almost everything I want - including color. But, I want to see how they handle the remaining lease. I still have have 6 payments of 750 each, so not sure how they plan on burying that $4500.

Buy the 2021, some interesting tech, as long as U can get out from under the lease ok, but all IMHO, especially since I have a MY 19 which is actually 2 years old already, LMAO. But since all paid for, no jumping here, BUT EVERYBODY'S SITUATION unique.

CAVEAT: DO what U want, and not listen to any internet advice, Yer Backside, Yer Wallet, Yer Peace of Mind, just saying...
