I'll try to keep this short. About a month ago I replaced my brake pads and rotors. I didn't open the hydraulic lines. After the installation my brake pedal went about 3/4 of the way to the floor when I started the truck. I replaced the master cylinder and the same thing happened. I took it to a shop to had them bleed them and the ABS and it didn't fix the problem.
I took it to another shop last week, they put new calipers and master cylinder on it and the same thing happened. They put the original parts back on the truck and said they couldn't figure it out and suggested I take it to the dealership. I took it to the dealership and they bled the system again and the same problem. They actually said this was normal on some trucks, I know better!
The truck stops great and the ABS works but when I start it with my foot on the brake pedal it drops about 3/4 of the way to the floor.
Any suggestions? I don't have any dash lights and my scan tool doesn't show any errors. My scan tool does check the ABS as well as has ABS bleed. Thanks!
