Your probably good as long as the pads you took off were worn down even.
We have a lot of slop on our roads and I have never had a vehicle that required this yearly, when changing out the pads you should check and make sure they have enough grease. They make a high temp brake grease for this. You can always have a look the next time you have the tires off.
