Hey guys new here first post.
So today when going down the rd felt like my truck had a miss a couple of times. got to the stop light and WOW was a strong gas smell. The truck is idling rough and the rich smell is strong. Did not throw a code no engine light as well.
Also gas was at a quarter tank when this happened. By the end of the day I was almost empty with no low fuel warning light on. That's also a first time. The average mpg on the thing above is reading 6-7.8 mpg

Any advice would help. This is my work truck I do landscaping so I have to get this fixed.

Unfortunately the list of culprits can grow without codes but my first guess would be a map sensor.
If it continues to run rough without throwing a code then I suspect ECU.

Getting a scan tool connected to the truck is the first order of business before you start shotgun-ing parts at it with only a mere hope that it will fix your concern.

A quick glance at the data stream and the short & long term fuel trims would go a long way in the diagnostics phase.

There are a few things that we need to see. First would be the target idle RPM vs. actual idle RPM.

Next, what are the upstream and downstream O2 voltages?

Then we take a peek at the short term and long term fuel trims to see what the PCM is doing. Is it pouring the fuel to the motor on the short term fuel trims? What is the engine vacuum reading with a manual gauge vs. what the MAP Sensor shows?

There are several steps that can be performed before spending and wasting money.
