Id like to upgrade my door speakers and dash speakers with something from Crutchfield. Will buy easy replacements and wiring harnesses, and plan to also put in the noise reducing adhesive. Looking for feedback - issues, tips… mostly concerned about removing door panels and having them remount without squeaks and rattles. I am handy, but not necessarily mechanically talented.

I have the same truck. I just bought it a few days ago and I plan to change out my speakers also. Keep me updated on your progress, please.

Yes, quality sound-mat is a great addition to ones audio enhancements and overall enjoyment.

I personally went with Focal door and dash speakers because I like their attention to detailed sound reproduction quality.

My fronts are 6x9 2-ways with their tweeters in the dash
My rears are 6x9 3-ways

Just having the stock OEM head unit and these speakers was a HUGE improvement and got me a tad more volume, too.

More importantly, the sound reproduction was next level!

I then went to all the next audio levels after that and ended up with 2100W of total power output and a total of 11 speakers in my truck...but that's a whole-nother story (and expense...lol).
