Sport Inserts

If anyone is interested is modifying the Sport Hood inserts to allow for Air to inter and exit the engine compartment this is what I did.
I popped them out and used a belt sander to remove the material on the back of the inserts. Once the material got thin I used an Exacto knife to clean them up. I also painted them with plastic paint to clean them up.

Not worried about all the water that will be dumped in there? I just put a sport hood on my express this week and i was talking about this with my buddy. I cant see a benefit in doing it. Ive seen others on here place lights inside and it looked pretty cool
