Been wanting to upgrade the tail lights for a while and finally pulled the trigger. These aren’t the standard Spyder LED tail lights, these are the “neon tube” version which I think look a lot nicer. And I figured why not upgrade the reverse lights at the same time. I was being bombarded with ads for the Diesel LEDs and I figured why not. They are no joke. They are by far the brightest reverse lights in a standard housing I have ever seen. They’re like headlights. I also grabbed their LED license plate lights.
The install was super easy. Just plug the cable coming out of the back of the new tail lights into the original socket and then install the socket in the new housing. That’s it. Back up lightbulbs work the same way. The only difference is the back up light bulbs use a rubber grommet to mount them to allow you infinite adjustability to get the angle right. So I just wrapped the socket plug with electrical tape for moisture proofing.
