Hi, was wondering if anyone apart from me has the spyder model number 111-dram09-led-rs ? Can I see the pics please?

Note the last two characters RS which mean Red Smoke I assume. The pictures I saw of this on various websites show the red to be red but the white reverse light area smoked.

The one I have looks all smoked evenly.

I think someone has them on here, it's a old thread from a year ago or so. Have to search for it.

Thanks man. It looks like the ones I got. I was hoping just the reverse light would have been smoked, the pics on amazon and ebay are all pretty misleading imho.

Bummer, I guess it aint worth sending back.

NP man. I have been really happy with the lights. The LED brake lights are still really bright. If I have a complaint its the smoke over the reverse lights.... Even with upgraded led bulbs from RS they were very hard to see. LED pods fixed that though.

My style back in the days was to just slightly Smoke the reverse light part. Used to use the lightest tint film available.

I'm using stock reverse bulbs inside them, thanks for the tip about it not being that visible. Will need to order some cree LED I think.

As you guessed I've fitted them, don't too bad on a white truck.

CREEs will help for sure. I bet they look sharp on a white truck. I really wish the made a matching unit for the 3rd brake light....

I had smoked tail lights. Truck had them when I bought it. HATED THEM. People couldn't see my signals or brake lights. Especially when driving into the morning sun. I (the lights) almost caused me to get hit from behind many times. I think I was more pissed off at the stupid lights than the people almost crashing into me.

I would love to have smoked taillights, but I think you're just begging to let whoever rear-ends you (armed with even the crappiest lawyer) off the hook.

Im not sure of the technology Spyder implement, but the light output is much better than those folks who nightshade or tint their stock tail lights. This aspect wasnt my issue, its just the tint look per se that I am not keep about it.

In the pic below the seller shows the lights having a very slight tint, as does other sellers who sell this unit. Actual unit looks nothing like it.

They actually look like the one in the URL below, looks like this seller actually bothered to show actual product he or she is selling.

Fits 2013 15 RAM 1500 2500 3500 Lumileds LED Perform Red Smoke Tail Lights Lamps | eBay

They even sell the darker version also, shown below from same seller. I bought the top lighter version which I dont think even exists? Meaning only red white is the lightest they do.
Either way, Im gonna return them.

There is a difference between the light output of these lights and ones that are sprayed with nightshades or even the all smoke LED ones. The LEDs are at least as bright a stock and the red is reflective which enhances their output even more to overcome for the slight smoke color.... Day or night.
