All I know is that I'm ready to install the tune again, squeak or no squeak. I had to go back to stock for emissions testing to get my tags renewed, and haven't installed the tune again yet. After driving with the tune for a while, I realize just how awful stock is. MDS is now annoying whereas before my tuner it didn't bother me.

My Z28 had the belt squeak when I had the shift kit installed. The trans shifts quicker, and the momentum of the engine suddenly meets a lower rpm from this. The accessories carrying momentum during this and the belt slips a bit. COMMON ISSUE in the muscle car world.

A Goodyear Gatorback belt fixes this issue. It's a damn good serpentine belt.

I just installed 93 HF on mine, so far no abnormal issues.

I don't think it's an across the board deal. I wonder if we can pin point the mods that this is occurring with since the HF tune is set up with these mods known. I use the 93oct tune with an S&B CAI, 87mm TB, 180 tstat, and muffler delete.
