Has anyone else had this problem? I have a very annoying squeak coming from the passenger side. A local shop and my nearest Dodge dealership both stated it is from the leveling lift putting the spring at a slight angle. When they lightly pry on the spring while pushing down on the truck the squeak goes away. The Dodge tech. told me the way to solve the problem was to uninstall the spacer lift (Hell Bent Steel 2.5") and install the Bilstein 5100's. I really didn't want to rip this one out and have the added expense of the Bilsteins, labor & alignment again.

i've read a few times that ram changed the axles on 2013's and up and you cant just throw a level on it anymore, causes the ball joints to pop

As much as I hate to do it i'm going to replace them and remove the leveling kit and go with the Bilsteins. Sucks doing things twice.

As mentioned, before you go any further I would check your ball joints. Make sure they're not on their way out. Changing to 5100's aren't going to do any good if the ball joints are about to pop or are starting to already.

My ball joints look good but i'm not taking any chances. I just ordered the Zone Offroad UCA's. I'll have them and the Bilsteins installed when they come in.

I have a 2012 and when I had my bilstein installed for the front and rear, I had squeaking sounds. I took it back to where it was installed several times and when they finally fixed it, they just said that they just tighten it up a little.

Personally I think they didn't lube the bushing s on the bilstein shocks, and that they might have over tighten it.

With the newer models (2013 and 2014) the uca are smaller so leveling kits are going to be a problem unless you upgrade the shocks to bilstein or ranchos.

I don't think it matters if you replace the shocks. I've read about guys popping them with 5100's. Some have gotten away with running the 2.1" setting, but one guy said his popped on the 1.4" setting.

I ordered the Bilsteins and the Zone Offroad UCAs. Just waiting for them to come in. The Bilsteins are backordered everywhere so it may be awhile before I can report back if this fixed my problem.
