That is indeed pretty ingenious.

I tried all kinds of lube, some didn't work at all, some only worked for a couple days. I finally tried the only one I knew would work.
Aerosol spray white lithium grease. Sprays out kinda thin so it flows, then gets good and thick. I used it 2 years ago, all 4 doors have been quiet ever since.
You can probably find it just about anywhere, this is the stuff I actually used...

You can replace that roller. Buy a replacement on Amazon or other places. Search for Ram Door Hinge Roller.

I would avoid putting any lube on the door hinge bushings (I know you didn't say you were going to). The bushings on these Mopar vehicles consist of a highly compressed graphite and brass fiber material. They're self-lubricating. They're pretty small for holding up such a large heavy door. I replaced some in a Jeep years ago and then started lubing them like a guy would do on the old GM bushings. Big mistake. The oils and solvents weren't kind to the bushings. They didn't last very long. I replaced them again and never lubed and they lasted for many yrs, till we stopped driving it.

But the roller, yeah you could spray some white lithium grease on it. I think your pin has worked up. Try tapping it down. Or, at this point maybe better to remove and put on a new roller.

I use PAM, the non-stick cooking spray, lol ... for me, it permanently solves the squeaky door issue.

similar to what the Original Poster stated

Wouldn't a Bread Clip be faster ?
no lube needed

MOPAR TSB, Technical Service Bulletin is laughable in this video

I always replaced the Hinge Pin & NYLON
Spacer on older vehicles
Nylon self lubricates
