SRS light comes on intermittently

So I have a 201a ram 150p with 44k miles on it... And few weeks ago I turned my truck on and it said service air bag system, like cabin airbags, don't have airbag suspension. It was on for like 10 secs then went off, right after it came on again 10 secs it went off again... Then it was gone for about about a month and it happened again... It doesn't stay on or anything... Came on twice again for about 10 secs... Went off then I was jumping in my seat and it came on real quick then went off..

Before I go to the stealer ship, is there any recalls, DIY or warranty I formation I could use to help lessen the Bill... Should I just leave it alone until it comes on for good

I had the same issue I put dielectric grease on all the plugs under the seats and that made it go away for awhile. After I did an oil change it started coming back then just stopped again. Good luck with it. If you figure it out the issue let me know

will do... i have been reading it could be the Airbag control module, from what i saw it is like a 30$ part... just dont want to spend 200+ to can it

Is there any service builtin on SRS, or like the older truck will they check it for free? i am out for 3/36

Check the fuse panel and went to 85 and 86 i think, and they seemed a little loose, so we will see if that fixes the issue.... it only comes on everyone in a blue moon

The stealership talk is a little harsh. There are no common srs problems. You need to wait until the light is back on and pull the codes. Anything before pulling codes will just be a wild ass guess.

I have been looking around and a lot of people that have the on and off issue have located it down to the funky fuse holder, when i looked it it i wiggled it a bit and it was a bit loose... My scanner only pulls engine codes, cant seem to pull SRS codes, are they stored in the computer? The light will not stay on long enough to make it to the dealer.

Also would the be covered under the bumper to bumper or 5y/100k? Just out of curiosity, the local autoshop said not to worry about any SRS light unless it stays on.

You don't need to worry about them unless you want the airbags to work. The airbag codes are stored in the airbag module. You will need a better scanner or find someone that has one. Even if the light has just gone off, there should be stored codes. But they will clear after a while.

ok update, went to the bank and came back and now airbag light came on and service electronic break system

So i think this may have been the issue... I plugged my scan gauge into that was once in my ford 6.0 with i thin CANSF connectiong, as it was connecting in clicked force connect, so maybe force connecting messed some stuff up. Aswell on top of that, i was looking at the air bag fuse and pulled it out then when into the cap and cylced the key to see if the was the correct fuse and it flashed a few times then i turned the key to the off position. As i was driving the Airbag light came on and off a few times and the service electronic brake system light came on. I went to my old shop where i worked once and they plugged it in but all there systems are to old to scan the truck. We pulled they battery and tryied a master reset, still on. He told me to drive it around and it might clear out... So i drove it hard around town and it shut it self off, so far, hasnt returned yet, so well see what happens. Prolly pulling fuse and cycling key threw a red flag and it needed to run the system or something...
