I was parking my truck today and when I stopped it sputtered and stalled almost immediately. This hasn't happened before however even since I put my headers in a week ago every now and then it gets ****** when I'm driving it. Sometimes when I let off the throttle to take a turn and get back on it, it will take a second for the RPM's to come back up. I just cleaned my throttle body 1,000 miles ago so that shouldn't be the issue. I heard maybe the 02 sensors got jacked up during the headers install but I didn't think that would cause it to stall that hard? Thanks for any tips.

Try the computer reset first by just unplugging the negative battery terminal for about 30 minutes.

The front o2 sensors are very picky, so double check to make sure you don't have any leaks at the collectors or the header flanges.

Okay will do. That leak I was telling you about was at the flange but I've driven it a decent amount since I fixed it so I'll go back over everything now that it has had time to settle to see if any new leaks have snuck out.

Were they shorties? Like Matt said the front o2's are the pickey ones that will make it run all over the place so make sure there is no leaks anywhere near them. Even if it is after them it will skew the readings and make it act silly. Do a PCM reset also to have it starting fresh.

Ya they're shorts. I had the battery unhooked the whole time I was changing them so I though it would already be reset. I'm sure there's a small leak or two still down there.

Time to get a tuner, its win win. You can make some more power and scan your PCM whenever you want and see all the codes triggered.

You guys are in kahoots, you give him targets and he doesn't bother you lol. Idk Matt I'm gonna TRY and wait a few weeks between purchases. I'll keep myself busy until then by cranking my keys and changing some fluids lol

haha. You're good. Just take it to the local parts store, and they should be able to read the codes for you...at least let you know if the codes are related to the o2 sensors.

Ya it's throwing a code. After I did a reset, the light went out for a second and came right back on upon startup. And when I just drove to class I could hear a leak coming from the passenger side again as I drove by walls and fences so I'm sure its the 02 being picky. Should fixing any and all leaks take care of that? Or do I need to pull the sensors out and clean them?
