Any recommendations on a good reliable replacement starter other than OEM that people have used and been satisfied with? My O'Reillys here has a new Ultima brand. Not a reman. Just wondering.

Do a search in this forum, there is a fair amount of discussion on this topic. Think you will fund this is one part where the OEM is highly recommend.

Kinda what I am leaning toward anyway. Most of the oems I see even from the Mopar stores appear to be remans and I definitely dont want one of those.

You could send a PM with your VIN to Benny @AllMoparParts.com for a quote.
He is a member here and known to sell OEM parts at great prices.

Why in the world would you want to put an OEM starter one there ?

Remind me again...what part actually failed on your truck ?

My truck prefers OEM over aftermarket. Sometimes if I try an aftermarket, depending on what it is, it causes problems then when I switch to the oem, it works fine. AND on occasion, I have found that some oem parts are actually less in cost than aftermarket.
my starter has lasted for 19 yrs and 212k miles and is very slightly starting to show it sooo I want to get ahead of the game and eventually replace it.
