So a buddy has a 2016 Ram Sport. He is having problems with it not responding to the key fob. Remote start and push button.
He is having major issues with his touch screen radio.
Could it be possible these two issues are related?... Or is it just the fobs, both do the same thing. It sayss no fob detected.

One of you need to buy one of these battery testers,if you don't have one,and load test the battery. Start with the easy things to test, like the battery.

Maybe RF hub issues? Wonder if it got wet back there.

Does your buddy's truck have a CEL or any fault lights showing?

A CEL will disable remote starts and possibly the FOB functions.

A proper battery load test with a toaster-style tester (as linked above) is the first step to analyzing these issues.

$20 is a great investment for a powerful and accurate piece of test gear that will last forever if you treat it right.

Yep. Start with checking the battery terminal connections. Then a good battery test. Get a Load Tester or have it load-tested (not just a multimer test) at like OReilly Auto or Autozone, etc. Poor battery power is the root of some wierd behaviors on these Rams.

Does the truck start with the key? If not, it's possible it could be the 'WIN module' (do a youtube search on that for Rams and/or Chrysler). WIN Module issues are chrysler ordeals, not just limited to RAMs. And if that's the issue, they are kind of a DIY fix in most cases depending on the skill leve.

Could also be a starter, starter wire ...or start relay (try swapping relays). Depending on the actual issues.
