Anyone know about battery tenders ?

I dont drive my truck but maybe 3-6 times a month . It sits most of the time .
I have a battery tender jr . I also have dual battery's .

Question ... the leads .. one positive one ground .. does ground mean negative post or can I ground to chassis . Reason I ask is ... well I have 2 battery's with a isolator . I took the positive wire from the tender and split it, ran to positive on battery 1 and the other to battery 2 off of the isolator . I doubled up my grounds and put them to chaise not to each negative post .

Will this work ? It shows battery charging but want to be sure it was ok to ground the negative to chaise and not the neg post on each battery .

Should. If you want to know for sure hit the battery with a multimeter while charging.

He may be golden but that charge is little low. I would be more comfortable with 13.8v trickle charged at 2 amps. That would keep most maintenance free batteries fresh. Dave, your splitting the charge in essence weakening the effect of of the tender. I'm no genius but it makes sense to me. But then again it's not sitting the winter month's so you should be fine at any rate. 3-6 times a month? I wouldn't even hook it up half the time.

Are you still having a draw issue when the trucks off? For some reason that comes to mind and would explain the charger.
