Looking to upgrade my system from a single 10" to dual 10's. Has anyone made a custom sub box to hold dual 10's or 12's? I need some ideas, either a single enclosure, or two boxes.
Must be for Reg cabs
thanks

Someone should chime in soon. I just bought some cheap box at an audio shop. Got the job done.

As you know, I'll be making a single soon, but I might turn it into a double sub enclosure. Stay tuned.

If you are looking for ideas (or even just to buy a pre-made box), look on subthump.com:

02 & Up Dodge Ram Regular cab Dual Sub Box with Amp Space

Note: Pay attention to the mount depth. I am putting one 12" Solo Baric L7 in my reg cab. Had to have a custom box made. Luckily I am not super tall (5'11") so I don't have my seat back all the way. That speaker has a deep mounting depth, something like 6 11/16", and also requires a lot of internal volume, so that's why I had to build a custom box. I can give you the dimensions of the one I had made, but it may or may not fit for you depending on where your seat is.

Yes, sealed L7's require huge amounts of room, or ported would be even better :D

I have a small behind seat sealed box right now. With a JL 10W0 and about 200 watts its bumping pretty good, just want some real thump. I'm thinking of buying the new kicker comp 10's and that box looks pretty good, but I like the room in the back to put my backpack and stuff in.

I agree... however, I suck at math, and coming up with the dimensions of a sealed box that would fit was headache enough, even using a program I found online. Not to mention a ported box would've had to be even larger than a sealed one. And, I would prefer not to be shattering any of my windows haha

So I found a great deal on a Rockford fosgate p2 12 with a ported box, so I might just get that. Hope it works

Single cab ram box

Here's a box I built for my 03 single cab ram. Came out good. Two 10" mtx subs

PCA I'm here to help again lol

I have this box here
Pioneer TS-SWX251 Compact sealed enclosure with one 10" shallow-mount sub at Crutchfield.com

I upgraded all my speaker to Pioneer all the way around, and I did a jvc headunit, and threw in this 10 inch shallow mount. It fits perfect in the storage bin in the back, and all of my speakers are powered by a single 1600 Watt 5 channel amp by powerbass. It is a great system, it shakes my whole cab, but it smooth enough for you to play classic rock and have it still sound great.

Haha cool thanks man. I really live for the heart pounding bass lol. With my current setup my friend said he can barely hear himself think. I think I'm going to sell my sub and box to buy the new kicker comp S 12". Then either build my own box, or get a custom one.
