For what it is worth I did a SC at 10k. However I only did 6psi. It dynoed at 303rwhp stock and 408rwhp with the sc. 6 psi is not much but it works for me maybe I should step on up to 7 or 8 psi but I am good with what I have done.

How's it holding up? I've been contemplating on a 5 to 6 PSI setup but I will be towing as well?

Good q
I bought my ‘13 ram back in November, my third dodge truck but my first hemi. (Had 2 third gen 4.7’s, a auto 2wd and a manual 4wd. I loved them both)

When I bought this ram I was amazed by the power. It had 140k miles 4x4, stock tire size, hot air intake and passenger side sideshooter exhaust.

Well now I’m at 160k and less than impressed when I want to move. It seems like the only things I can blow the doors off are prius’ so that gets a guy thinking “I need more power!”

So my question: Is it a bad idea to put a whipple supercharger on a 5.7 with that many miles?

Are there other things I should maybe consider? Cams? Or Would a procharger be better/worse?

Also, not knowing what the Prev owner has had done, if I do go the super charger route are there maintenance items I should have done first?

Thanks!
Good question I have owned 4 vehicles with prochargers with vastly different boost levels and currently stand at 7 lbs on my 5.7 but it went on at 10k and now am at 20k,I wouldn’t recommend anyone even doing it on a just broke in truck unless you have the shop behind you as I do.But on your truck I wouldn’t do it.Sorry it’s a lot of work just to break something.AF3D42D5-C821-4E42-A2AD-B84605BB4D0E.jpeg0593FDDF-EAFA-4818-AC1A-AAE360E42424.jpegA9DC095F-FE1E-4BB7-8EA5-2ECE5E161985.jpeg
