+1 on the V-rod.

When we were filming our Biketoberfest/SEMA video at a local HD dealership there was a flat black V-rod with orange racing stripes in the showroom that I couldn't keep my eyes off of. Got that one on my Christmas list for sure.

Thanks BTW for the business referral, it's much appreciated!

Ok I skimmed through the thread and didnt see any mention. Is there an ETA on a Superchip for the 2011 Ram 1500 5.7's?

Also, being the engine and overall vehicle dummy that I am how is the ease of use on these chips for a Newb? What are the benefits you will gain using one is Layman(sp?) terms haha

Thanks!

They're working on 2011 support now. There were some ECU changes for 2011. No ETA yet.

More HP/TQ. Greatly improved transmission shifts.

Very easy to use. Just follow the on screen prompts. You won't have an issue using it.

You don't have to jump right into the advanced features. Superchips has a quick tune selection. Just choose quick tune, your tune and follow the prompts.

My main goal is to delete MDS and a tuner seems to be the best route. All of the other stuff they can do wont hurt either LOL. Would I be alright with 3865 for my MDS needs and is it worth it across the board or do I need something different. I mean if I am gonna drop some coin on a tuner I might as well get some bang for my buck. Completely new to the tuner world but I want to learn. I have found used units for around 150ish is this good?

Alpha testing is almost complete, beta testing will be next and then it will launch. I have no hard numbers to offer as far as a timeline yet because of the previous delays.

If all goes well I am personally hopeful that it may get out by mid to late July if we don't find any bugs from now until the release.

Okay so long story short I bought the SC 3865 to replace my Hypertech mainly for the transmission tune because I am actually a big fan of the stock tuning on the 09 and newer rams. I hook it up and do the update then install in my truck to "Lock" it to my truck. Then try to plug in so I can buy the transmission tune and keep getting error "(2) A key exchange Error has occured." The only reason I bought SC is for trans tuning as I already had Hypertech to tune engine (if I wanted and gears and tire adjust). So what should I do just return the thing or anyone have a work around. I have tried on both my windows 7 pc and my mac with windows 7 and same message. XP maybe? Please help!

This is a temporary workaround for the current updater issue.

1) If you want the trans options and can't wait, follow step 1 below. You will need to ask the Superchips representative for a trans tuning waiver form.

2) If you just want to update your tuner, follow step 2 below.

1) To get the trans options under an RA, call in (407-585-7000 or 1-888-227-2447) for an RA, the tuner must be locked / tuned to the vehicle. We will require a signed waiver. We will charge what $39.95 minus the cost of inbound shipping. We will need a copy of the inbound shipping receipt to accompany the tuner. We will ship the tuner back to the customer Fed Ex ground no charge. i.e. $39.95 minus $12.50 equals $27.45 charged to the customers CC.

2) Follow the outlined driver removal instructions: Login to Superchips Easy Update. Connect the tuner. Key Exchange error appears, close Superchips easy update. Click the Start button, right click My Computer and select Manage then click on Device Manager (Device Manager may be different for OS’s other than XP). With the tuner plugged in, expand "Universal Serial Bus controllers" and scroll down to "USB Programmer", right click it and select Properties. In the Driver tab select "Uninstall Driver." You will be asked to reboot your machine. Reboot it and start the Easy Updater software then plug in your tuner. You will see "New Hardware found" and "Installing Drivers." The Easy Updater should then rescan your tuner and proceed with the update. Again upon the completion of the initial update you will again receive the two Key Exchange Errors. Not to worry, the tuner did receive the required update and you can ignore the key exchange errors.

Thanks!
