Superchips released 2013 Tuning

Just got the email that 2013 tuning has been released including transmission adjustments (awesome for us 8-Speed guys). Just wondering when they will release the same for 2014 trucks and I'll gladly purchase one.

Where does it say that it works with the 8 speed? Or is that just assumed. I have never reallt heard that great of things about superchips but this has me tempted... I just wish I knew I was going to keep the truck!

I woukd agree with you but I'm too darn cheap.
I emailed them about that, I want to know how it works with the 8 speed and if that tuner can be used on any other vehicles. I see in their test vehicles page they want a 2013 with the 8 speed and a 2013 tradesman or express.

It says on there you'd gain 23 hp and 46 ft. Lbs of torque. How's that compare to diablo trinity with hemifever tune?

Actually few of the 2013s have the 8 speed. And I cant even find a 2014 Express with an 8 speed at any local dealers. I doubt it works on the 8 speed since it has a separate TCM. And it you notice it says change WOT shift points, it doesnt say anything about part throttle shift points or shift firmness like on the older model trucks.

The tuner may work on the motor on the 8 speeds but not on the trans, same as the DS tuner.

Express's dont get the 8-speed and your right there were limited 8 speeds in the 2013s

and x2 on it working on the 8speed. I think it may be a long time before there is tuning for it.

For 2014 it is available on the express.

They had a ton of '14 express 8spds on the lot when I was looking at them.

I can almost guarantee you that Superchips does NOT have the tuning figured out for the 2013. They dont even have it figured out for my 2011! We installed it and it kept throwing codes so they asked me to put back to stock. OOPS! It had lost my stock file! After a few days of back and forth with them, they resent my stock file to me and I loaded it back onto the truck. Then, they sent me the newest latest and greatest file. After loading it up, the truck gained some power, but had a strange "bog" after shifting at WOT, then would pick up again like normal. The truck also dropped close to 6 mpgs! I took the programmer back off and sent it back. Ron over there was very helpful, I will give him that, but the product was very lacking. Since then, they came out with a new part number tuner for the 2011. Not sure what the difference is, but I am a bit worried about their tuning now. Worked great on my 2004 Rumble Bee?!? Good luck!

yep. My truck is a 14 CC Express hemi/8spd. Plenty of them out there.

Here is what the reply was when asked what it supports and such.
Currently, we do not support the ecodiesel or the 6.4 HD models. We are working with the ecodiesel as we speak to try to make tuning for this application, but we currently do not have a scheduled release date. The 3842 or 3841 (California) will support the Hemi trucks from 2013 back to 2004 and back as far as 1999 on the other v8 engine applications for the trucks. This device will also work on the 1999 to 2012 Dodge Diesel 2500 and 3500 trucks as well with either the 5.9 Cummins or the 6.7 Cummins.

I asked if the same tuner listed would work for the ecodiesel and 6.4 when the tunes were released. Here is the response.

With the 3842/3841 tuners being the most up to date model tuner we have, it should be available to upgrade the existing tuners.

The only exception would be if we find that file sizes are too large for the current device platform. With the new memory ability of the new Flashpaq devices, I do not believe that would be the case.
