Swapping Radio In 2010

Does anyone know if it is possible to swap my basic (RES) radio to a (RBZ) radio?
If so how? Will I also need to chang the hands free module?

Yes u can I did it in my 2011 and your uconnect module should keep your hands free that same as it is now

And is it simply plug and play?
also I found a used REN instead of RBZ, that shouldnt make a difference right?

the one i found is out of an 09 slt if that matters at all lol

The RBZ for sure works, I'm not sure about the REN but i looks like there were a few models which may or may not come with a sirius sattlelight connection if thats important to you.

This one does it says it on thr front and i got the vin from the origional truck it was in and it says it does.
My concern is if theres any reprogramming required other than the sirius.

Im ordering it from a bit away and dont want to spend 400 bucks if it wont work.

Do you know what vehicle it came out of? There are two different CAN bus speeds, low and high, 4th gen Rams take high speed. Google the part number if you don't know what it came out of, should begin with P0506* or P0509*, or post the part # and one of us can look it up

Completely blank wont light up or anything. I hooked it up to a scan tool and it was reading the radio as dead. Its from a 2010 grand cherokee. The model # is 05064959af. It should be high speed.

I think that's your issue 2010 Grand Cherokee's were low speed, 2011 were high speed. Just to confirm I looked up your part number here

I would take it up with the seller if they advertised this as a high speed radio.

Sorry - no - I was lucky enough to stumble across a fully working RHB, sold the broke one for parts on eBay. A month ago and we would have had a deal. Arth has his RER up for sale in the classifieds, you might want to look at that, it has nav and will work in your truck.
