Swapping side steps

I want to swap out my factory side steps with some other type. Is this a job I can do myself and will I need any special tools?

You can do it yourself with a ratchet, some sockets and a couple of open ended wrenches.

It does help a LOT to have a second pair of hands.

It's pretty easy. When I put mine in there was an existing bolt I had to back out and put through the new bracket. Needed an air impact gun for that. Otherwise all regular hand tools.
