So I pulled the pin and orderd an ATI Underdrive pulley from Moe's yesterday. I was thinking that since I was going through the time of installing the underdrive pulley, I should do the efan mod as well to free up some more ponies. I have a 2014 RCSB Hemi, so I know I can retain the stock a/c condenser fan, and simply change the temp settings to complement the my 180* t-stat.
While I was doing some research on efans, I came across a post on here where a member did a similar mod on a 08 Hemi Ram, but he installed a switch so he can manually turn off his efan after his burnout. He was thinking that the extra load put on the alternator by the efan would basically eat up any gains he would have made by removing the clutch fan in the first place.
So my question is, did anybody put a fan switch on 14+ Ram with the stock A/C condenser fan, and if so, was there any performance improvement? Thanks!!
