I just read on Flipboard today that within a year or two GM is gonna be making their truck beds out of carbon fiber, to be introduced in their more premium line first.

Man if they kill off the Hemi I sure hope mine last for a long time.
I do not want a V6 turbos or not, and they have way to much garbage on the diesels amymore.

Probably a DI penstar V6 with optional turbo. That seems to be the way things are going. Jus sayin.

I'm in no way a mechanical engineer but it would seem to me that they could come up with an OHC design for the Hemi, I think that would take care of a lot of problems.

They will make awesome kabooms (thats the sound of a Twin Turbo V6 blowing up.) at a low milage or at least expensive turbo replacement at 40,000 miles.

depends....Ford did it, sure they had their issues at first but the Ecoboost has proven to be a pretty good setup. my buddy has a ecoboost and its tuned. He has over 70k on it with no issues so far and he doesnt maintain it very well either. I have been telling him for almost 2 years to swap out his plugs and gap them tighter since he is running higher boost with the tuner i set him up with. Finally 2 weeks ago he calls me and says his boost has been low lately and when he went WOT it thru a multiple cylinder misfire code. I said CHANGE YOUR F'N PLUGS!!! and gap them tighter. I hear from him 2 days later, hey I changed my plugs and the truck is running great and my boost is back to normal :banghead:
