I haven't made it back over there yet, but I'm going to assume no changes have taken place. I'm not willing to turn this into an extended project, so if I cant get the key in it, it's getting cut. I'll just chalk it up as a lesson learned and lube the **** out of every lock I have from now on.Isnt Fluid Film supposed to help break up corrosion that already exists? Maybe pick up a spray can from Lowes and try that.
They also make spray intended for circuit boards to help clear corrosion on electronic contacts, CorrosionX is one of them. I think you can find it at a local marine supply.
The locks on my receiver hitch pin and trailer ball lock are Masterlocks and work fine. They've all been in the same environment but have barrel-type keys. The disc locks on the ramp door are Trimax and use flat keys. Coincidence? I'm no lock connoisseur, but that's enough to make me look for the same type locks/keys for the ramp door.
