PUP 0w-40 reformulated. Must not be using anymore GTL. Pour point went from -51c to -36c

Sheared down anyway. I'd never use that stuff. Too bad FCA got hung up on it as a "one-size-fits-all" oil recommendation for global conditions they didn't understand. Wouldn't be good for engine longevity - sticking piston rings, solenoid orifices, etc.

Posted in blackstone already but figured id share here to.

Heres the latest sample on my durango hemi. This was the third oil change. Oil was in service from 2500 miles To 4968 miles. The last short drain im doing. Flagged items are not an issue as mobil 1 esp x2 VOA i have shows oxidation and sulfation are essentially unchanged. My VOA showed identical sulfation and 38.8 oxidation vs 38.1 on this UOA. Viscosity drop due to fuel which suprised me. I didnt expect to see fuel dilution.

You got a dribbly injector? Port injectors shouldn't make any unburned fuel into the oil at all.

That Noack on the 10W-30 got even better. For those of us with at least one DI Eco-tec in stable, that’s definitely something to consider.

Thanks.

Their 0W-30 is a dog, though, in terms of NOACK and HTHS Vis - compared to the other vis grades and to Mobil 1 ESP 0W-30. And likely to HPL's SC 0W-30, too. Looks to me like their VII additive isn't top notch?
