I would worry about oil psi if that bore got too big. But I think making it like it was last gen maybe a tweek here and there, no more issues. Think about the assets the manu have, and this guy in his little shop finds this. I simply don't believe hardly any effort goes into manu's making engines. They do bare minimal push it out the door.
As long as a lifter doesn't phsycally fall out of it's own bore, there shouldn't really be any change in oil pressure Mike.

It's simple fluid dynamics, the opposite of a reducer that substantially increases PsI just by making hose size smaller.. If the pump is the same flow and you increase "hose size" or oil gallery size, psi goes down. With an oil pump pumping oil into a larger area also decreases velocity. It's not Burla saying so but the guy who discovered it = Bernoulli. So the real question is should the bore be smaller if it will increase oil psi?

The pump will just bypass less oil Mike,it has more then enough capacity to keep a bore that's bigger by only 0.100" full and pressurized, that was bore out by Daves test with the internal oil leak and he never lost any oil pressure ;)

Wrong bore,i'm talking about the oil galley that feeds the lifters,it runs the length of the block on both sides of the engine
Sorry about that. Note to self don't post when your tired/distracted as you can you mix up what you think is being discussed

I've been such a lazy-ass, I don't even know what the dealer put in mine last time. I'm overdue for a change, so I guess I'll pay more attention this time...

The Geek's newest oil test. Interesting test results.

great find, yes I had discussed that a while back the m1 version of r&p which has been universally rejected. Looking forward to seeing the results in the vid, thanks.

What is gen 2 restore blue? Is that current? The only one with the ester spike.

Could see this wasn't going work, nice try.

If there is a winner restore blue, we should revisit that. Cleans even without temperature = esters. r&p still does what we know it to do, just that the test he set up didn't prove it, the test failed not the product.

was a good video, good info despite the testing inadequate.
