Tailgate and door lockout

I've got a 2018 Ram 1500. When the tailgate is down or the driver door is opened the transmission will not engage. Is there a bypass for this? There are times when the door might be open or the tailgate is down when I need to backup.

Its the “autopark feature” but it has nothing to do with the tailgate being open just the door. If you buckle the drivers seatbelt as stated above then it will allow you to back up with the door open.

I find the Tailgate Down alert on the dashboard very annoying. It's not uncommon for me to operate the truck with the tailgate down for days (depending on what I'm hauling). I'm getting tired of clearing the alarm every time I get into the truck. Is there a way to disable this alert, or at least make it less obvious?
