What's a guy to use for tailgate protection when towing? I have issues with rocks bouncing off the TT and coming back and chipping my tailgate, had one even cost me a backup camera- even with the rock tamers.

Looked at a few products online but I thought I'd reach out and get some actual experiences.

Damn, that sounds like a million to one shot.... I've never noticed any correlation to dings on the gate and towing. I don't think I've ever had a rock chip on a gate before. Are you driving on a lot of gravel roads?

They make those bike holders that protect a tailgate and allow the front wheel to hang over but it seems like those don't cover the whole thing. I'm wondering is something that would help?

That's pretty much all I am finding is those bike wraps. I think it would help a bit for sure.

Gravel is my life out here. If I want to go to any camp sites or fishing areas west of us, it's at least 50km of gravel no matter which route I use, and even after the gravel ends the pavement looks like a war zone :/

Look into the mudflaps that mount on the receiver hitch. They mount by sliding your draw bar through them, make them removable when not towing.
