I got a set of taylor wires to replace the factor long ones. But that did not work ran really bad. Put a new set of factor back on and runs great. Just was tying to clean up the eng . Any one know what you can do or just leave it.

I've had a set on for over 10yrs (like 13 really) and have never had an issue. So the question is, since it ran fine with the factory wires, did you put the shorties on correctly (I'm assuming you mean the shorty wires, since Taylor makes both lengths for this engine)?

When Mopar came out with the original crate 5.7, they came standard with this setup.

I think I did they only go one way. The part number is 82041.
Correctly as in was each connector end clicked into place correctly? It sounds like you weren't getting good connections.

If good wires are used there is no reason why engine wouldn't run properly.

This is interesting, I've read the Taylor shorties worked well in climates that didn't get below freezing or they'd not perform on really, really cold days, but never heard anything other than that?
I was planning on putting some on in the spring too.
Let us know what you find out, please.

See, I've heard that too, but I put mine on right before a CT winter. They've survived two CT winters, two NY winters and are going on their 7th MD winter and I've never had problems. Probably why I still haven't gotten around to converting the coils over lol...keep forgetting about it.
