I got a letter from my dealership today. Basically is states that because of our low dollar (CDN) it's created a huge demand for pre-owned vehicles in the US and the American Wholesale Buyers are paying over CDN market value for trucks like my 2013 Sport. They're offering up to 10.5K in discounts too.

I'm trying to decide if I should trade up. I haven't done any real mods yet other than a tint and catch can which I'll remove. I'm curious as to what they'll offer me for my 2013.

Doesn't hurt to ask.

I traded my '10 in a couple of months ago - 85000 kms - got $16200, they sold it within a half hour. The new owner took it for a test drive while my stuff was still under the back seat lol.

NADA trade value is about $30k-32k depending on equipment, mileage and condition.

I get a mailer or a phone call from my ram dealer for the last 7 years.
I purchased a 09 1500 for 23k and traded it in 24 months later for 22k.
Purchased a 11 1500 for 24k and traded it in 18 months later for 24K.
Purchased a 13 2500 ctd, now I refuse to even entertain the idea.

My point is if you can buy them cheap enough and don't mind always having a payment and a new truck, go for it!

im one that just has a payment into my monthly budget. so i could justify my purchase of a 15 this week. even though it did lower my payments about $40 a month
