Third Brake light

Has anyone else replaced their third brake light with LED and now get a message that a "Brake Light Out"?
I'm thinking that the LED lights have less resistance than the incandescent bulbs.. Any other ideas??

I mounted a resistor under the backseat and ran a wire up the c pillar to the wire that controls the third brake light when I deactivated mine entirely. Doing something similar will eliminate your bulb out error.
