Have you ever run over a plastic bag only to find it never exits behind your truck? I have run over three plastic bags while driving down the Interstate, never to have seen them emerge from the rear of my truck. I notice the smell of burning plastic when I park the truck but, while looking under the truck, I don't see any burnt plastic.

Weird. :favorites13:

I think I've used the word "truck" too often.

Yup. I've rather paranoid about this after running over a bag in a Jetta I owned years ago. Damn thing melted to the cat (I think) and despite a lot of scraping (both while hot and after it cooled down), it stayed there and stunk for a while.

I was afraid it would start a fire or something, so I always watch for the bag to come out whenever I run over one now. Luckily hasn't happened again since then.

I drive a lot for work and always pick up bags under my 1500 QC work truck. Usually just leave then there including the large black contractor bag I snagged several months ago. Hell, I just left it there and it took a month for it to "blow" free. Last I saw it it was 1/4 the size of original and quite tattered. Now I feel bad for littering.

avoid running over plastic bags like they were an endangered species. I had one melt on my car years ago, melt to the cat and it smelled for months and months. Was actually happy when a drunk hit the car while it was parked and totaled it.
