This oil filter is a joke right?

I went to the dealership for a filter. Its the first oil change. I was not expecting a huge filter but I was not expecting a Honda filter either. I bought a mopar just so the dealer has a record of when I buy them to save the ******** in the long run.

Yeah, they are a beastly filter. When you got 7 qts of oil needing a cleaning though, don't want to skimp out on the cleaner. lol

in other words.... I'm an idiot for buying a cheap ass mopar filter? I mean, If I were to get an oil change from them (full syn) they would use the same filter no?

They might use the same filter for syn, I still get dino oil in mine and pay $17 an oil change which is the only reason I still use the dealership for my truck.

You're truck has the oil life gauge and other members are talking about doing 5k miles with syn, one even wanted to do 10k miles. He was still told to change the oil filter around the 5k mark if he went that long.

They are designed to catch everything so regardless of name, it does what it should and be replaced. It's a small part for such a large engine.

Oh god.... Not the oils question....
I've ran RP since the first oil change and love it. After reading a few post on oil, I'm going to try Amsoil in my next oil change.

This is the Tow-Mirror-Moose and I was just merely voicing what was on my mind, and that just so happened to be wanting this oil filter for my 360.

That's all. :p

Original Import Sized Filter?

:****sweak:

I crushed that little ******* removing the first (and last) one from my truck.

Spun on a nice full size fat one the last three changes and have had no issues.

FYI, that little **** filter would spin right on the 360, same dia O ring, same thread pitch if you were so inclined. :uhoh2:

Mobil1 here - have used RP and Amsoil too on the 1500 for extended change intervals. I've been doing every-other time the oil meter recommends. So, basically 8200 miles avg. per oil & filter change for me on the Power Wagon.

Was doing 7500 mi Oil Changes on my '03 Mustang Cobra with the S/C'd 32v motor. When I smoked a couple of pistons doing back to back top speed runs on a dry lake. Pulled the motor, and even with high boost and insane IAT and chamber temps, with 43k on it, it was spotless. I now do 10k changes on it, unless it is out for a two day roadrace weekend or something.

People are just throwing away good fluids way too early 99% of the time to feel good or feel like they are taking extra care of their vehicle. It's not emotional, and it doesn't care. The days of cooked on, sludged up pans are pretty much gone, with such efficient systems now a days and the use of Syn. Oils and good filters. I could probably triple my intervals, but am too old skool a bit myself. Though I know I am throwing money away.

Part number so I can find size specs? I can only go so big before there is no room to maneuver the filter wrench. :signs6:
