2003 3500 nv5600. a while back i was driving and it just quit on me. like loss for fuel. i towed it back home and looked in the fuel filter housing. no fuel. 1/4 tank of fuel, so i dropped the tank and changed the intank pump. ran great for 3 weeks. died again on the road. got it back home. no fuel in the housing. thought it might be the crappy oreillys fuel pump. dropped the tank and pulled to pump. with direct 12v to #1 and 4, it runs, thought it might be a connector. checked 1 and 4 at the connector. 7-8v. changed the connector. with connector off, i checked the wires. 12v. put new connector on, put everything back and it ran for 30 seconds then died. on a whim i tried a camshaft sensor. still nothing. i hate throwing parts at it. i know that the cummins is picky about its brand of sensors. i just tried a oreillys because it was a weekend and dealer wasnt open. it gave me a P2122 code. throttle position sensor voltage. if its that, it would be the 3rd TPS in 2 years. any clues from the subject matter experts in here? thanks

May be solved by now.

If it helps … presented with the described scenario would send me looking for a bad ground wire linked to those components. Cleaning up ground points on the chassis/body and replacing corroded wire end eyelets does wonders to straighten out what would otherwise should be completely separate system issues.

Hope that helps!

I suggest you head over to the Cummins Forms, then go to the 3rd gen Dodge 5.9 Cummins section, there you will find lot of help: https://www.cumminsforum.com/forums/
