Yeah unless your dealer tech pulls down the tranny and notices the convertor is slightly different color, there’s literally no way for them to tell the stall is different other then doing a flash test while driving the truck. And they more then likely will never notice the gear ratios unless you put in an aftermarket limited slip as well. If you are stuck worrying about the warranty, then you’re stuck with a slower stock truck and nothing you can do about it. If you actually want a fast truck, then cam/stall/gears/tune and enjoy. Not much else can be said

Have the dealer put the gears in, I would think that would keep your warranty.

Gears are going to make a HUGE difference on that truck with the transmission being gear that high.

I would do 4:56s like he^^ said

Thanks, ya'll. Sounds like gears and a torque converter are good ideas.

How would they notice LSD? Not a smartass question, genuinely curious.

Some guys like to use a different differential locker that’s stronger then the stock LSD, and especially if they have open gears to begin with. If you changed out the locker it would be pretty obvious if they opened the diff

The unfortunate part is that I drive 45 miles a day on a 70mph highway. What will that do to my RPM's, or engine life?

I have never done gears on a vehicle...how big of a difference are we talking with gears and/or torque converter? 1/2 second in a 1/4?

Well its going to take your rpms up at hwy speeds for sure.
But you can't have everything, good mileage or good power its always a trade off.
Maybe 4:10s would be better alittle more middle road for you.

Gears will make a huge difference on your yruck.

Tuner, Gears, Tq Converter, and Longtube headers. Those are the 4 best mods you can buy for any 5/6sp Ram truck.

Bang for buck, I would do the tuner first. Then gears, then tq converter, and headers last.

Yes and when you do the gears you will be able to spin the rear tires so do the lsd at that time.

Can't tell if the newest model just added a big screen, or if there are additional reasons to get it over a different model.

Tuning is identical between the I3 and the T2...just comes down to whether you want the monitor or not.

Thanks. Since there is no monitoring on the I3, I still wouldn't know my tran temps and whatnot. I have the ST, so I only get oil temps but nothing else....am wanting to be able to see trans temps and coolant temps and whatnot.

Then you would want to go with the T2
