Thoughts on body color mirrors and door handles

Just wondering how many people have done body color mirror and door handles. were you happy with the look? How are they holding up? I've got a brilliant black 2014 and I know it wouldnt stand out as much as a red or another color but I think it would help separate it when parked next to another truck. It seems lik everyone around me has a black cc 14!

You mean entirely painted or just painting the chrome that comes on the sports/laramies? If it's the OEM style, the doorhandles look freaking awesome because they have just the right amount of chrome and the mirror caps tie in the paint color just right.

If you're talking about the entire handles? Maybe. The entire mirror? Nah, that'll look cheap and overdone (One passed me the other day and it looked horrible).

All my door handles and mirror pieces are black plastic. I'll post some pics up whenever I pull the trigger.

I am not sure about painting the mirrors. On your truck maybe (since it is black) but I would definitely consider the door handles even on my truck.

Are you talking about painting them to match the handles and mirrors that come on the Sport trucks?

My truck has the factory blackout package. So there's no chrome anywhere. Minus the exhuast tips and lug nuts which I've powder coated and replaced. I'm just looking to take the handles and mirrors from that flat black looking plastic to paint them body color for a smoother look.

Then yes if it's all blacked out the painted handles and mirrors will help keep that clean look and eliminate cheap looking plastic imo

Get the Sport/Laramie painted mirrors and then look on eBay for painted handles (or you could spend the large amount of time sanding down the ones already on there) and just paint them black. IMO that would look awesome, but I haven't had the time to tackle anything like that just yet. I hate how expensive the Express is and yet it comes with textured base model handles and mirrors, it just looks unfinished.
