On using Plasti Dip to seal the connections on my HID ballasts to protect them from moisture?

Why not just use silicone or something of better substance?

Yeah I don't think it work that well it would be good for putting a 'grip' on your favorite adjustable wrench not the best for sealing electrical.

dielectric grease is your friend.

I should've clarified...I will be putting dielectric grease on the connections...I meant on top of that to seal the ballast from dirt and moisture more specifically...anyone think if why that would be a bad idea?

well....I guess it can't hurt? But I don't see how it will help if the connections are greased.

Home depot has liquid electrical tape.
3m makes it I think.
