Ticking in Reverse!!

I have recently realized that my truck i just got about 2 weeks ago has a ticking from the Transmission when i put it into reverse any ideas of what this might be or if anyone has had the same issue?

What do you mean ticking? Describe the situation and noise more precisely please.

The tuck drives perfectly. no unusual noise... but when i put it in reverse you can hear a light ticking from what seems to be the transmission... i cant hear it from inside the truck but from outside you can hear it for sure... i will try to make a sound clip for you if that will help? I ticking is as if you had a signal light that ticked faster...

The first place I would check is the U-joint closet to the tail shaft.

The ticking is there in idle aswell...
