I'm looking forward to seeing some of these pics, I can't recall anyone with this setup on a quadcab truck. At least since I've been on here

I know bighorn4life is close...2.1 bilsteins, 6" lift, 1.25" bl, and 37's..but with the set up I want I might have about 3" more with the bigger bl and tires!

As tall as you will be, "swaying" you will be pretty easy...

Har Har Har

What is Fast n' Ugly's setup? I suspect it is similar to your goal.

Will they have 4.56's for our 2012's by then? You gotta wait on me to catch up :( my truck goes for bodylift install monday (given my work allows). I'm trying to find tires right now cuz its looking like nowhere can get the at2's.

Thats close to my plan except I was gonna do 6" rcx on 37's gear pending. I'm sure your truck will be the poster child for all my mods. So go easy on the spending haha

Sweet im looking forward to pics! Im sure 4.56's can be done on a 2012 it will just take some $ lol.

No problem man, im here to help. Thanks, come spring time my truck will be higher somehow!

wow....guess you take the saying "go big or go home" to heart....LOL

I do haha! But its all going to be based on gears and a tuner on how high I will go and how big of a tire I will run!

Personally the body lifts ontop of suspension lifts is eh.. Trucks look too tall and skinny. Unless you're getting a nice wide offset tire to make the stance look broad, planted, and wide. :p 40s would look better (;

Id like to run a -44 offset still in a 20" tho with 38x15.50...but Itll be based on gears, tuner and if Kore can make a suspension kit for 2012's!

Nobody that I can think of here is running 38s on a 4th gen, let alone Mud Grapplers. Quite a few of us are running 37s though.

The other thing may run into is the availability of the kore cv axle
As of now they aren't available for the zf axle yet

With the right wheel offset it sounds like a great idea to me haha

Yeah dont think Kore has made anything for it yet but Ive heard its in the works. Im also thinking about just another 4" rcx lift on top and running 37's. I would be comfortable running 37's on 3.55 gears until I upgraded to 4.56.

But at the rate of tune releases, Ill never lift it lol.

Don't give up hope they said "SOON" right LOL ;), a 4" and 37's would look nice as that is as far as I will take my truck due to it sucking to load bikes in the bad higher then that, but I guess and excuse to buy and enclosed trailer for bikes at that point! :). Hopefully Gears and Tune's will be available to ring in the new year or at some point!

That would be my issue with installing more lift than I have now. Loading my dirt bike! So its alot of thinking on my part. I intended to keep what I have now and do a tuner and gears, to have a balance of performance and lift!

I don't offroad enough to justify a lot of lift, I like how it looks but I have this to see big trucks, lol. So I'm fine with my intention's and then tuner and gears for more power for when I go to tow, and just have fun, I've done the big truck thing, and I'm happy with the 6" area and don't need to go higher but love seeing the trucks that are! It hinders what I use my truck for, so I have reasoning behind my thoughts, to each their own, that is the beauty of these sites IMO! And this is one of the best forums I've been on to date, lots of knowledge and great guys and gal's!

Hahaha!
I would have been your closes bet for this....

Unfortunately I went a different direction as you already know, but I did have 2.1 Bilsteins, 6" lift and 3" body lift on 37's and those tires were too small. Fender height was 49.25" up front.

So I ordered myself some 20x12, -44 offset hostages on 38" Toyo MT's but before putting them on, I removed my body lift.

I too also have 4.56 and it can be done but will require more dollars than members with an 11 due to the front diff assembly.

You do not need a tuner to run those 38's if you do the gears. Gears are more than plenty and you'll be able to move those 38's with ease. The tuner will only better enhance this setup.
So I say do it.

If you want to see a pic of exactly what you are planning on doing......used as my inspiration, lol)
10" lift on 20x12 on 38" mud grapplers.

Here was mine with 37's. as you can see they are a tad too small.

mine with the wheels rolled in front for pics (they were not mounted, but would have looked like the above (headhunters ram) as you can see, they fill out the fender better and you'll get the width needed to be proportionate

-3DA5-4EF3-9A99-687C10192C64-7100-0000051DED9A5F0A.jpg

I still have all the things here if I decide to go back and do it..... I haven't quite let go yet on the idea. LOL

Hope this helps and any questions on gears, let me know :)

You know if he posted this he doesn't need convincing. :) He is trying to justify his pre decided choice, yay lift and new tires!! ;)

JK in all honesty do what you will be most practical for your lifestyle your truck is nice already and whatever you do it will look amazing!
