Stock Goodyears list as 32.1 inches diameter; matches my measurement. Distance from ground to the center of the rear wheel is 15 inches so by my calculations a 30 inch effective diameter has about 673 revolutions per mile.
When I replace the Goodyears, I will at least get an LT 265/70/17; maybe a 255/75/17 or a 275/70/17.
Even the stiffer sidewall LT 265's should have a greater effective diameter, measured at the rear wheel, and therefore fewer revolutions per mile.
Q. How much variation in tire size does the current speedometer setting permit?
Q. Can the dealer do any needed recalibrating or do I have to go aftermarket?
Thanks
