I felt the same way about the GYs. Didn’t understand why they were getting such a poor review.
Had a 200 mile ride last week, much of it some hard rain, and couldn’t believe how poorly they tracked. I really wasn’t looking to replace them, and didn’t need the additional expense.
Was offered $300 credit against the purchase of a new set, alternative brand, and jumped at it.
See how you feel about the GYs in another 8k miles. Hope you still like them.
Michelin are the best tires I have ever owned, hands down. And they are a premium cost tire. I think a lot of people take a “pass” on them because of the expense. I did.
With a 65k warranty on the Nittos, favorable reviews from people I trust who own them, feedback on the forums and out the door price of about $625, I bit the bullet.
On an related note, saw them on another RAM yesterday, and they looked bad ass. I don’t easily impress with many aftermarket mods - but they’re definitely a bump in appearance.
